ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Not on File No Time, Now #2
Right Lane: Dale Creasy Jr. Runs 6.125/108.64, Now #1

5:21 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 30.04 inches, adjusted altitude 2,737 feet.

Creasy had a good sixty foot time but he gets about 250 feet out and strikes the tires.

Left Lane: Chris King Runs 4.477/198.39, Now #2
Right Lane: Jeff Diehl Runs 4.129/283.70, Now #1

King was on a decent pass but had problems late in the run. Diehl was moving around early, makes a move toward the centerline about 800 feet out but hangs on to make a full pass.

Left Lane: Terry Haddock Runs 5.071/150.69, Now #4
Right Lane: Bobby Bode Runs 4.067/314.73, Now #1

Haddock gets about 600 feet out and the car noses over, not sure why. Bode makes a clean, straight pass and takes the top spot for now.

Left Lane: Paul Lee Runs 3.889/323.60, Now #1
Right Lane: Dave Richards Runs 4.045/310.07, Now #2

Lee drifts to the left all the way through the run but hangs on for a good pass to take the top spot for now. Richards makes a clean pass but was falling behind all the way through the run.

Left Lane: Buddy Hull Runs 4.177/297.15, Now #6
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 3.987/321.96, Now #2

Hull makes a clean pass but is off of the pace. Pedregon goes down the groove with a good pass and he gets in the second spot for now.

Left Lane: Alexis DeJoria Runs 3.915/327.51, Now #2
Right Lane: Chad Green Runs 4.066/268.61, Now #5

DeJoria makes a good pass and gets in the second spot for now. Green has problems and is off of the throttle a little early.

Left Lane: Daniel Wilkerson Runs 3.965/324.37, Now #4
Right Lane: Blake Alexander Runs 3.878/324.04, Now #1

A good side-by-side, both down the groove with decent passes. Alexander gets in the top spot, Wilkerson in fourth, for now.

Left Lane: J.R. Todd Runs 3.957/327.53, Now #5
Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 3.902/331.83, Now #3

Another good side-by-side, both down the groove with good passes. Todd gets in the fifth spot, Hagan third, for now.

Left Lane: Ron Capps Runs 3.947/320.15, Now #6
Right Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 3.946/321.22, Now #5

Capps makes a good pass and gets in the sixth spot for now. Tasca is a tick quicker and gets in the fifth spot for now.

Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.870 sec., 330ft-2.236, 660ft-3.180/272.35 mph.

Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.882 sec., 330ft-2.264, 660ft-3.192/280.99 mph.

Left Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 3.908/327.39, Now #5
Right Lane: Austin Prock Runs 3.905/330.69, Now #4

Beckman makes a decent pass and gets in the fifth spot for now. Prock was moving around late in the run but hung on and gets in the fourth spot.

Jack Beckman's incremental times: 60ft-0.867 sec., 330ft-2.248, 660ft-3.165/282.40 mph.

Austin Prock's incremental times: 60ft-0.876 sec., 330ft-2.254, 660ft-3.167/284.11 mph.
