ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. - After two rounds of Pro Stock qualifying at the NHRA Mopar Nationals, the Benza-Krebs One on One Sports Radio Pontiac Firebird is sitting in 12th position. The Benza Krebs Pontiac Firebird ran a 7.104 in the first session. Taking what information they gathered from the first round, crew chiefs Terry Adams and Dave Krebs made some changes to the car allowing for a respectable 6.974 going 197.71 mph for the second round. "The calls that crew chiefs Terry Adams and Dave Krebs made today along with the Barry Grant horsepower is why the car performed so well today. The weather this weekend pretty much made this another one shot qualifying race, If Terry and Dave didn't make the right decisions like they did we might just be going home early on Saturday. The heat this afternoon and expected tomorrow doesn't bode well for the racers not qualified yet," says Benza.
"If all things go well tomorrow, we should have a real good shot on
Sunday, watch for the Benza Krebs One on One Sports Radio Pontiac Firebird,
we might just go all the way," reports Benza.
