GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 4.304/209.17, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.697/332.43, Was #2
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.910/280.49, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.793/326.16, Was #14
Weather conditions: air temperature 80 degrees, relative humidity 72 percent, barometer 29.80 inches, adjusted altitude 2,457 feet.
The first four pair are the first round of the Top Fuel all-star Callout.
Langdon starts to lose traction and pedals it.
Brown is black tracking all the way down the track.

Ashley lost traction early and clicked it off.
Salinas started to lose traction early, but stayed with it.

Kalitta with the stating line advantage, but was lost traction early and clicked it off.

Hart was up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.
Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight all the way down the track.

Schumacher started to lose traction and clicked it off.
Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to move up the ladder one spot. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.152, 660ft-3.037/288.89 mph.

Millican was on a good looking pass until on the top end when he used up an engine. The word is there is oil on the track. Clay Millican was charged with an oildown, #1 for the season. That will cost 5 points.
