GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Chip King Runs 5.932/228.58, Now #17; Best prior run: 12.774/78.93, Was #26
Right Lane: Sidnei Frigo Runs 5.843/245.63, Now #12; Best prior run: 10.040/117.08, Was #22
Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 82 percent, barometer 29.94 inches, adjusted altitude 1,671 feet.
King with a good clean pass, but just misses getting into the show.
Frigo is straight down the groove to get in the show.

alBalooshi makes a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off.

Stavrinos is straight down the groove, but will not get in the show.
Lee started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Januik breaks on the burnout.

Samorukov improves ut not enough to get in the show.

This was a good looking side-by-side drag race.
Thorne kept it hitting on all eight all the way do the track to get in the show up into the top half of the show. Kris Thorne's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.537, 660ft-3.767/199.40 mph, 1,000ft-4.828.
Quartuccio is straight down the groove with his career quickest and fastest pass to go to the number five spot. Ken Quartuccio's incremental times: 60ft-0.947 sec., 330ft-2.520, 660ft-3.767/198.26 mph, 1,000ft-4.837.
