GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Wayne Morris Runs 5.700/245.40, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.539/254.86, Was #5
Right Lane: Stan Sipos Runs 5.639/252.43, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.408/227.27, Was #8

Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 62 percent, barometer 30.00 inches, adjusted altitude 2,164 feet.

Morris is skating around early, but stays with it. he will not improve.

Sipos is straight down the groove with a good looking pass.

Bellemeur is with another great pass just off his pass from yesterday. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.957 sec., 330ft-2.464, 660ft-3.633/211.73 mph, 1,000ft-4.628.

Beverett left before the tree was activated and will not get a time.

This is the the first pair of the the rain delayed Regional from last weekend.

Gawlik with good clean pass.

Leanders is just a few ticks off his time from yesterday.

Esz with a great looking pass to move up the ladder one spot. Phil Esz's incremental times: 60ft-0.939 sec., 330ft-2.439, 660ft-3.617/208.97 mph, 1,000ft-4.626.

McCosh is right there with him and just a tick off his time from yesterday. Bob McCosh's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.481, 660ft-3.653/210.97 mph, 1,000ft-4.649.
