POMONA, Calif. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 58th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Spencer Hyde Runs 3.778/323.27, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.860/269.83, Was #15
Right Lane: Ron August Runs 3.858/312.64, Now #16; Best prior run: 3.964/298.73, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 18 percent, barometer 30.00 inches, adjusted altitude 2,324 feet.

Hyde kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go straight down the groove with his quickest and fastest this weekend. Spencer Hyde's incremental times: 60ft-0.840 sec., 330ft-2.138, 660ft-3.030/285.23 mph.

August with a career quickest pass, but will stay in the number 16 spot. Ron August's incremental times: 60ft-0.860 sec., 330ft-2.189, 660ft-3.094/279.67 mph.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 7.093/84.40, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.758/306.19, Was #14
Right Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.837/319.75, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.742/329.50, Was #13

Millican started to lose traction early and clicked it off.

Hart with a clean pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.693/330.07, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.713/325.37, Was #11
Right Lane: Dan Mercier Runs 8.521/92.68, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.716/328.14, Was #12

Langdon kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make his quickest pass of the weekend. He moves into the top half of the show. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.831 sec., 330ft-2.102, 660ft-2.965/292.77 mph.

Mercier starts to lose traction early and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 3.663/332.26, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.698/333.33, Was #10
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.263/192.85, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.703/331.20, Was #11

Salinas launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass this weekend. He goes to the number two spot. Mike Salinas' incremental times: 60ft-0.821 sec., 330ft-2.085, 660ft-2.942/296.76 mph.

Schumacher starts to haze the tires after half track and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Austin Prock Runs 3.636/332.92, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.696/329.34, Was #10
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.684/317.49, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.682/328.14, Was #7

Prock with a great pass, he has the header flames high over the rear wing all the way down the track to go to the number one spot. Austin Prock's incremental times: 60ft-0.809 sec., 330ft-2.066, 660ft-2.916/297.61 mph.

Force with good pass, just a few ticks off her qualifying time. She will not improve and gets bumped back one spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.825 sec., 330ft-2.087, 660ft-2.951/293.60 mph.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.663/335.82, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.689/332.02, Was #9
Right Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 7.973/75.91, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.682/334.73, Was #7

Brown with a great pass straight down the groove to go ro the number three spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.828 sec., 330ft-2.086, 660ft-2.942/295.59 mph.

Ashley overpowers the track and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 4.280/190.03, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.682/336.74, Was #7
Right Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.674/336.40, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.676/332.84, Was #6

Torrence started to haze the tires and clicked it off.

Pruett is straight down the groove with her quickest pass of the weekend. She will stay in the number six spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.834 sec., 330ft-2.105, 660ft-2.956/297.68 mph.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.666/333.25, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.671/336.99, Was #5
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 8.140/89.61, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.641/335.65, Was #2

Kalitta kept it hooked up with his quickest pass of the weekend, the fourth quickest of the session. He will stay in th number five spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.098, 660ft-2.948/297.81 mph.

Torrence is up in smoke early and clicks it off.

Prock holds on to the number one qualifier spot for the second time this season and the third time in his career.
