LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Taylor Vetter Runs 5.242/277.54, Now #4; Best prior run: 9.747/116.38, Was #17
Weather conditions: air temperature 69 degrees, relative humidity 19 percent, barometer 30.00 inches, adjusted altitude 3,089 feet.
Vetter launched hard and kept it hooked up to get in the show. Taylor Vetter's incremental times: 60ft-0.917 sec., 330ft-2.366, 660ft-3.481/221.92 mph, 1,000ft-4.433.
That bumps out Payne... Kim Parker is on the bump spot at 5.343.

Stevens with a good pass early and starts to skate around on the top end, but holds on to get in the show. James Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.908 sec., 330ft-2.366, 660ft-3.511/215.86 mph, 1,000ft-4.491.
Myers drives into smoke and clicks it off.

Grisel kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to get in the show. Casey Grisel's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.397, 660ft-3.522/222.47 mph, 1,000ft-4.477.
Chesleigh was mixing up cylinders early and he will not get in the show.

Payne with a good clean pass, but will not get in the show.

McPhillips with a clean pass, but will not improve and stays in the number five spot and will have a match up with Vetter tomorrow.

Cowie launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight all the way down the track to go to the number one spot. Shawn Cowie's incremental times: 60ft-0.918 sec., 330ft-2.316, 660ft-3.418/224.55 mph, 1,000ft-4.363.
Sampey with another great pass, all three in the 5.20's, she will stay in the number three spot. Angelle Sampey's incremental times: 60ft-0.956 sec., 330ft-2.418, 660ft-3.511/228.23 mph, 1,000ft-4.449.
