ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 38th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Karl Brounkowski Runs 5.355/252.99, Now #12; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Tony Stewart Runs 5.248/266.41, Now #5; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 29.82 inches, adjusted altitude 2,632 feet.

Brounkowski with a good clean pass to get in the show.

Stewart launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number five spot. Tony Stewart's incremental times: 60ft-0.942 sec., 330ft-2.391, 660ft-3.473/231.17 mph, 1,000ft-4.414.

Severance goes straight down the groove with a good pass. Joey Severance's incremental times: 60ft-0.902 sec., 330ft-2.343, 660ft-3.465/220.71 mph, 1,000ft-4.431.

Button with a clean pass, but does not improve and will not get back into the show.

Spiegel appeared to use up an engine as he is trailing some smoke as he crosses the finish line. He gets in the show on the bump spot.

Cummings kept it hooked up to make the fourth quickest pass of the session. He gets bumped back one spot by Coughlin.

Coughlin launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. He makes his career quickest pass and the fastest pass of the season here. Mike Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.918 sec., 330ft-2.348, 660ft-3.421/232.57 mph, 1,000ft-4.343.
