POMONA, Calif. - Brittany Force captured her second career world title on Sunday, wrapping up a spectacular season with a Top Fuel world championship after a first-round victory at the 57th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Ron Capps (Funny Car) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) both clinched world championships at the 22nd and final event in the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season. Austin Prock (Top Fuel), Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Angie Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the sixth race in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs to cap off a spectacular 2022 season.

Brittany Force secured her second NHRA Top Fuel championship on Sunday at the Auto Club NHRA Finals. She collected five event wins this season and 10 No. 1 qualifier positions through the 2022 season.

Funny Car World Champion Ron Capps, NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota GR Supra Funny Car

For the first time in 20 years, NHRA crowned a back-to-back Funny Car champ when Ron Capps claimed his third championship at the Auto Club NHRA Finals. Capps picked up five event wins on the way to his world title.

Pro Stock Motorcycle World Champion Matt Smith, Denso Auto Parts Buell

Matt Smith earned his sixth NHRA championship on Sunday at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona. Smith tallied four wins and five No. 1 qualifier positions through the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season.

Austin Prock, 3.641 seconds, 336.23 mph defeated Antron Brown, 3.701 seconds, 320.74 mph.

Top Fuel sophomore Austin Prock claimed his third career race win when he took down Antron Brown during the final round at the Auto Club NHRA Finals when powered to a 3.641-second pass at 336.23 mph to close out the 2022 NHRA season.

Cruz Pedregon, Dodge Charger, 3.839 seconds, 335.65 mph defeated Ron Capps, Toyota Supra, 3.850 seconds, 333.16 mph.

Funny Car driver Cruz Pedregon closed out the 2022 season with a win at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. Pedregon took down Ron Capps in the final round when he went 3.839 seconds at 335.65 mph at the final event of the season.

Greg Anderson, Chevy Camaro, 6.516 seconds, 210.31 mph defeated Erica Enders, Camaro, 6.515 seconds, 210.01 mph.

Greg Anderson closed out his reign as the Pro Stock champion with a win at the Auto Club NHRA Finals when he took down Erica Enders with his 6.516-second pass at 210.31 mph.

Angie Smith, EBR, 6.749 seconds, 199.55 mph defeated Joey Gladstone, Suzuki, 6.739 seconds, 199.67 mph.

Angie Smith collected her third career NHRA race win when she defeated Joey Gladstone with her 6.749-second pass at 199.55 mph at the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona.
