LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual NHRA Nevada Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Rob Passey Runs 4.052/297.48, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.032/297.48, Was #11
Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 8 percent, barometer 30.11 inches, adjusted altitude 3,047 feet, track temperature 103 degrees.
Passey with a good clean pass, straight down the groove. He is late with the chutes, but they come out half way up the hill. He gets it stopped with no problem.
Left Lane: Cameron Ferre Runs 12.655/57.36, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.714/332.34, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.741/324.75, Was #7
Ferre's car sounded as it shut it self off as soon as he hit the throttle.
Hart is straight down the groove to make his quickest pass of the weekend. He goes to the number four spot. Josh Hart's incremental times: 60ft-0.830 sec., 330ft-2.121, 660ft-2.985/290.82 mph.
Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.719/327.59, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.742/329.91, Was #8
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.708/324.51, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.126/136.72, Was #14
Brown with a good pass, he moves up the ladder one spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.848 sec., 330ft-2.121, 660ft-2.985/291.51 mph.
Kalitta kept it hitting on all eight and got it to hook up to go to the number four spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.837 sec., 330ft-2.104, 660ft-2.969/290.63 mph.

Ashley with another good looking pass, but will not improve. He makes the second quickest pass of the session. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.141, 660ft-3.013/291.01 mph.
Baldwin is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off.

Millican started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Langdon launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.829 sec., 330ft-2.100, 660ft-2.965/292.46 mph.

Salinas starts to drop cylinders and clicks it off early.
