LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual NHRA Nevada Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Doug Schneider Runs 5.650/255.82, Now #1
Right Lane: Robert Turner No Time, Now #2
11:22 a.m. Turner has problems early and stops on the track.
Career best numbers for Schneider to start the session.
Doug Schneider's incremental times: 60ft-0.963 sec., 330ft-2.510, 660ft-3.728/203.71 mph, 1,000ft-4.770.
Left Lane: Charles McLaws No Time, Now #4
Right Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 5.569/261.07, Now #1
McLaws is back and forth on the track and finally crosses the center line.
A clean pass for Whiteley to put a number up on the boards.
Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.498, 660ft-3.695/206.83 mph, 1,000ft-4.709.
Left Lane: Randy Parker Runs 5.755/227.23, Now #3
Right Lane: Ray Martin Runs 5.849/254.52, Now #4
Two strong passes and Parker gets the best numbers.

Right Lane: Mike Doushgounian Runs 7.633/123.83, Now #6
Doushgounian has a strong leave and runs to near half track before lifting and coasting.
Whiteley steps right up and makes her best run of the season for the next top spot.
Annie Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.953 sec., 330ft-2.487, 660ft-3.662/211.49 mph, 1,000ft-4.655.
Left Lane: Ulf Leanders Runs 8.623/115.63, Now #8
Right Lane: Chris Marshall Runs 5.448/267.53, Now #1
Leanders turn to fire and fall back.
Marshall runs his seasons best numbers on a strong pass in the other lane and pushes Lo ET even further.
Chris Marshall's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.444, 660ft-3.612/212.39 mph, 1,000ft-4.607.
Left Lane: Nick Januik Runs 5.600/255.29, Now #4
Right Lane: Kris Hool Runs 7.194/164.45, Now #8
And the pattern continues... Hool is on a strong pass to after half track and his Camaro snaps left and he has to lift.

Gordon is away first by a bunch and hold his lead right to the finish line to take the #3 spot.
Cox as only 0.003 behind him in ET and is #4.

Westerfield leave way early and makes a clean and straight pass to the#9 position.
Bellemeur has a good high light and and even better pass to move right up to the #2 position.
