Thorne is 1 - 0 against Shelton in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round.

Shelton with a tick advantage on the tree, but Thorne has the lead by the time they go by the Christmas tree and never trails from there on for the win.

Shelton is lose and taps the wall and then back across the track and takes out the centerline cones.
