Torrence is 23 - 17 against Kalitta in prior events.

Torrence with the starting line advantage, the car started to lose traction and he pedaled it. The car went silent and he coasted to the win.

Kalitta lost traction right at the hit and he couldn't get it to hook up.

Millican is 1 - 0 against Ferre in prior events.

Millican with a few ticks on the tree, but was up in smoke right at the hit.

Ferre is straight down the groove for the win. He is advancing to his first semifinal in Top Fuel. He will have lane choice over the newly crowned Champion Steve Torrence.

Both cars ar up in smoke right at the hit. Salinas' car was completely sideways, he whipped it back into the lane. He did cross the centerline, he had the car up on two wheels. He did a great job saving the car, but will lose.

Tatum got it to hook up enough to get the win. He will give up lane choice to Brown in the semifinal.
