MADISON, Ill. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 10th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Joey Haas Runs 10.033/81.85, Now #19; Best prior run: 3.966/298.27, Was #19
Weather conditions: air temperature 75 degrees, relative humidity 34 percent, barometer 30.06 inches, adjusted altitude 1,630 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.
Haas is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off. He will not get in the show.
Right Lane: Keith Murt Runs 4.060/275.73, Now #17; Best prior run: 3.921/320.51, Was #17
Murt starts dropping cylinders on the left side and the car starts to push toward the centerline. He keeps it in his lane and clicks it off early. He will not get in the show.
Left Lane: Scott Palmer Runs 3.779/323.66, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.772/317.57, Was #11
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.787/322.42, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.839/320.89, Was #16
Palmer is straight down the groove with another good clean pass. He will not improve and stays in the number 11 spot. Scott Palmer's incremental times: 60ft-0.831 sec., 330ft-2.146, 660ft-3.037/278.52 mph.
Langdon with his quickest pass of the weekend to get off the bump spot to the number 13 spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.157, 660ft-3.040/286.92 mph.
Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.714/326.00, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.768/319.90, Was #10
Right Lane: T.J. Zizzo Runs 5.426/125.35, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.798/325.53, Was #15
Pruett launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.105, 660ft-2.976/289.82 mph.
Zizzo is up in smoke by 330 feet and clicks it off.
Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.778/324.67, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.765/323.97, Was #10
Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.721/327.74, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.793/322.65, Was #14
Brown with another good looking pass, but will not improve. He gets bumped back one spot by Massey.
Massey had it hitting on all eight all the way down the track. Massey with his carer quickest pass and season fastest. He goes into the top half of the show. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.830 sec., 330ft-2.100, 660ft-2.981/286.62 mph.

Hart is straight down the groove with another good pass. He will not improve and will start from the number 10 spot. Josh Hart's incremental times: 60ft-0.853 sec., 330ft-2.164, 660ft-3.046/284.69 mph.
Kalitta launched hard and hitting on all eight. He was skating around on the the top end. He makes his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.839 sec., 330ft-2.126, 660ft-3.005/288.89 mph.
Left Lane: Tripp Tatum Runs 3.731/319.22, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.745/323.81, Was #9
Right Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 3.726/325.30, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.717/330.96, Was #5
Tatum launched hard and was on a great looking pass until around the 1/8 mile mark when it pushes out a head gasket. He still makes his career quickest pass and moves into the top half of the show. Tripp Tatum's incremental times: 60ft-0.819 sec., 330ft-2.106, 660ft-2.981/288.27 mph.
Torrence is straight down the groove with a good looking pass, but he will not improve. He will start Sunday from the number five spot. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.118, 660ft-2.989/288.70 mph.

Force with a great looking pass, her quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Her number one qualifying streak will end at eight. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.818 sec., 330ft-2.079, 660ft-2.940/295.21 mph.
