Gladstone is 4 - 3 against Sampey in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round.

Gladstone gets out of the gate first and he starts to pull away. He stays out in front to the 1000 foot mark, then his bike loses power and Sampey is able to get around him and take the win.

Angelle Sampey's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.079), 330 ft(-0.080), 660ft(-0.062), 1,000ft(-0.018). MOV: 0.2125 seconds (approximately 48 feet).

Word from the top end, his kill switch came unplugged.

This is Sampey's 44th career victory.
