MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel Harley at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Bob Malloy Runs 6.347/229.94, Now #1; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Bill Jackson No Time, Now #8; Best prior run: 10.402/78.35, Was #7

Malloy launched hard and was straight down the groove with a good pass.

Jackson started drifting out of the groove and collects the centerline cones. This is his second centerline violation and will cost him 10 points.

Left Lane: John Toth Runs 8.053/114.52, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.570/137.88, Was #7
Right Lane: Rich Vreeland Runs 6.683/198.50, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.725/194.60, Was #5

Toth clicked it off early.

Vreeland was stright down the groove.

Left Lane: Ryan Peery Runs 6.465/216.10, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.772/215.37, Was #6
Right Lane: Randal Andras Runs 6.601/210.14, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.542/211.86, Was #3

Peery launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Ryan Peery's incremental times: 60ft-1.122 sec., 330ft-2.883, 660ft-4.246/180.89 mph, 1,000ft-5.434.

Andras with another good pass, but will not improve. Randal Andras' incremental times: 60ft-1.149 sec., 330ft-2.909, 660ft-4.309/175.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.540.

Left Lane: Tii Tharpe Runs 6.587/205.54, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.645/188.83, Was #5
Right Lane: Jay Turner Runs 6.337/220.91, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.448/206.95, Was #2

Tharpe was straight down the groove with a good looking pass. Tii Tharpe's incremental times: 60ft-1.139 sec., 330ft-2.926, 660ft-4.312/176.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.528.

Turner kept it hooked up all the way down the 1320 to go to the number one spot. Jay Turner's incremental times: 60ft-1.113 sec., 330ft-2.825, 660ft-4.162/184.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.332.
