MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.704/189.84, Now #2
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.640/208.10, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.98 inches, adjusted altitude 1,941 feet.
Morgan is still in the Richie Stevens car as he is continuing to clean up after the hurricane. He is straight down the groove with a good pass.
Gaydosh Jr. with his quickest and fastest pass this season. John Gaydosh Jr's incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.272/165.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.558.
Left Lane: Bob Benza Runs 6.614/208.62, Now #2
Right Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.579/207.88, Now #1
A couple of the Elite cars here.
Benza is straight down the groove.
Nobile went to the final the last time he was in this car. He makes a real nice pass.
Left Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 6.643/207.85, Now #4
Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 8.103/161.19, Now #6
Prusiensky with a clean pass.
Delco with tire shake and he clicks it off.
Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.570/209.65, Now #1
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.593/208.94, Now #3
McGaha was out of the groove, but reeled it in to go to the top spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.750, 660ft-4.224/166.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.496.
Kramer is straight to the number three spot with a nice pass. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.234/165.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.515.
Left Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 6.573/210.21, Now #3
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 6.552/208.42, Now #1
A couple good looking passes from the young guns of Pro Stock.
McGaha goes to the number three spot behind his father. Mason McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.229/166.93 mph, 1,000ft-5.501.
Coughlin Jr. kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Troy Coughlin Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.968 sec., 330ft-2.731, 660ft-4.205/166.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.479.
Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.565/209.30, Now #3
Right Lane: Dallas Glenn Runs 6.550/209.04, Now #1
Hartford with a good clean pass to go to the number three spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.214/166.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.490.
Glenn launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Dallas Glenn's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.727, 660ft-4.201/166.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.477.
Left Lane: Kyle Koretsky Runs 6.547/209.98, Now #1
Right Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.548/209.62, Now #2
Koretsky coming off his runner-up last weekend in Indy and his first number one qualifying position. He kept it straight and true to go to the number one spot. Kyle Koretsky's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.739, 660ft-4.210/167.41 mph, 1,000ft-5.479.
Stanfield was right there with him to the number two spot. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.727, 660ft-4.201/167.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.475.
Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.553/209.85, Now #6
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.547/209.33, Now #2
It is number two and one from the regular season.
Enders with good early numbers and to the number six spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.966 sec., 330ft-2.731, 660ft-4.209/166.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.482.
Anderson launched hard and kept it hooked up to tie Koretsky's E.T., but will give up the position based on his slower speed. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.731, 660ft-4.203/167.38 mph, 1,000ft-5.476.
