MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel Harley at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: John Toth Runs 7.570/137.88, Now #2
Right Lane: Rich Vreeland Runs 6.725/194.60, Now #1

Toth is making his NHRA debut in Top Fuel Harley. He clicks it off early.

Vreeland with a clean pass.

Left Lane: Ryan Peery Runs 6.772/215.37, Now #2
Right Lane: Bill Jackson Runs 10.402/78.35, Now #4

Peery coming off his Indy win makes a nice pass.

Jackson lost traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Bob Malloy Runs 0.000/0.00, Now #6
Right Lane: Jay Turner Runs 6.448/206.95, Now #1

Malloy banged it right at the hit and came to a stop right off the starting line.

Turner with a good clean pass, stright down the groove. Jay Turner's incremental times: 60ft-1.135 sec., 330ft-2.876, 660ft-4.232/182.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.411.

Left Lane: Tii Tharpe Runs 6.645/188.83, Now #3
Right Lane: Randal Andras Runs 6.542/211.86, Now #2

This was a good side-by-side drag race to wrap up qualifying.

Tharpe was on a good pass, but off the throttle early. Tii Tharpe's incremental times: 60ft-1.132 sec., 330ft-2.894, 660ft-4.279/177.04 mph, 1,000ft-5.491.

Andras was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Randal Andras' incremental times: 60ft-1.143 sec., 330ft-2.905, 660ft-4.287/178.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.
