BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Tim Wilkerson won for the first time in more than five years and came
through at the biggest event of the season, racing to the Funny Car victory on Sunday at the
prestigious 67th annual Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won
in their respective categories at the 13th event of the 2021 NHRA season. It is also the final race
of the regular season before the Countdown to the Championship playoffs begins.
Tim Wilkerson, Ford Mustang, 3.912 seconds, 320.36 mph defeated Ron Capps, Dodge Charger, 3.946
seconds, 326.63 mph.
For the first time in five years, Funny Car veteran Tim Wilkerson picked up the win on Sunday at
Lucas Oil Raceway. He clocked at a 3.912-second pass at 320.36 mph to take out Ron Capps in the final
round at the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals.
Top Fuel driver Steve Torrence continued his dominance on Sunday at the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S.
Nationals when he defeated Brittany Force with a 3.749-second pass at 324.44 mph on Sunday at Lucas
Oil Raceway.
Reigning champion Erica Enders picked up her second consecutive Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals title
on Sunday when she went 6.626 second at 206.01 mph to defeat Kyle Koretsky in the final round.
Eddie Krawiec cruised to the Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals win when he bested his Vance & Hines
teammate Angelle Sampey thanks to his 6.844-second pass at 198.58 mph on Sunday.
