Joon is making his first appearance on tour since this event last year. He starts to loose traction and clicks it off. Left Lane: Tripp Tatum Runs 3.870/282.36, Now #2 Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 3.771/317.19, Now #1 Tatum is making his first appearance on tour since Las Vegas 1 in 2017. He makes good looking pass, straight down the groove. Tripp Tatum's incremental times: 60ft-0.858 sec., 330ft-2.185, 660ft-3.083/283.67 mph. Laughlin is making only his fourth appearance in a Top Fuel. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his career quickest pass. Left Lane: Greg Carrillo Runs 3.769/320.20, Now #1 Right Lane: Krista Baldwin Runs 4.193/215.17, Now #4 Carrillo is at his third event this season. He kept it hitting on all eight to make his career quickest pass to go to the number one spot. Greg Carrillo's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.120, 660ft-3.019/283.67 mph. Baldwin started to lose traction and clicked it off early. Left Lane: Kyle Wurtzel Runs 3.849/311.77, Now #3 Right Lane: Joe Morrison Runs 4.107/294.88, Now #5 Wurtzel is at his fourth event this season. He launched hard and was straight down the groove with his quickest pass this season. He goes to the number three spot. Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.796/324.05, Now #6 Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 5.555/117.09, Now #13 Ashley with a good looking pass, straight down the groove to get in the top half of the show. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.161, 660ft-3.052/285.29 mph. Millican launched with the front end in the air and when it came back dow the car got real loose. He pedaled it, but was up in smoke before he clicked it off. Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 4.553/188.86, Now #12 Right Lane: Mike Salinas Runs 4.908/142.40, Now #13 Shawn Langdon is racing a Bounty Hunter tribute Top Fuel dragster this weekend at the NHRA U.S. Nationals to honor team owner Connie Kalitta. Langdon starts to lose traction and he pedals it, but can't get it to hook up and clicks it off. Salinas started to lose traction early and clicked it off. Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.755/322.88, Now #3 Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 4.305/192.14, Now #13 Pruett launched hard and kept it hooked up all the way down the track. she ties Hart's E.T. but will give up the position based on speed. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.838 sec., 330ft-2.120, 660ft-3.009/284.75 mph. Brown started to lose traction and clicked it off. Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.684/334.57, Now #1 Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 3.688/329.50, Now #2 This was a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up day one of qualifying. Force launched hard and kept it hitting on all eight and hooked up to go to the number one spot. Brittany Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.824 sec., 330ft-2.094, 660ft-2.963/294.11 mph.
