BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 67th annual Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Brian Hough Runs 5.508/268.33, Now #2; Best prior run: 16.375/62.86, Was #16
Right Lane: Aryan Rochon Runs 6.055/154.71, Now #9; Best prior run: 22.884/29.34, Was #17

Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 30.07 inches, adjusted altitude 2,400 feet.

Hough with great looking pass, straight down the groove to go to the number five spot. Brian Hough's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.504, 660ft-3.677/211.53 mph, 1,000ft-4.669.

Rochon stated to lose taction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Chris Marshall Runs 5.507/267.32, Now #3; Best prior run: 12.712/83.20, Was #16
Right Lane: Sean Bellemeur Runs 5.470/268.49, Now #1; Best prior run: 13.288/70.87, Was #17

Marshall is straight down the groove to the number three spot. Chris Marshall's incremental times: 60ft-0.965 sec., 330ft-2.490, 660ft-3.667/210.70 mph, 1,000ft-4.665.

Bellemeur launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.950 sec., 330ft-2.468, 660ft-3.638/212.43 mph, 1,000ft-4.631.

Left Lane: Doug Gordon Runs 5.862/191.57, Now #12; Best prior run: 8.470/107.23, Was #13
Right Lane: Kyle Smith Runs 5.505/259.76, Now #3; Best prior run: 10.729/102.77, Was #17

Gordon started to lose traction on the top end and clicked it off.

Smith with great pass as he kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Kyle Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.451, 660ft-3.629/210.54 mph, 1,000ft-4.641.

Left Lane: Bob McCosh Runs 5.524/265.38, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.719/257.24, Was #10
Right Lane: Chip Beverett No Time, Now #17; Best prior run: 10.512/84.76, Was #17

McCosh kept it hooked up to get into the top half of the show. Bob McCosh's incremental times: 60ft-0.959 sec., 330ft-2.489, 660ft-3.672/210.73 mph, 1,000ft-4.676.

Beverett started drifting out of the groove and crosses the center line.

Right Lane: Dan Pomponio Runs 5.619/258.47, Now #11; Best prior run: 9.851/86.65, Was #17

A good side-by-side drag race...

Drew was straight down the groove, but stays in the number 10 spot. Ray Drew's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.494, 660ft-3.681/207.30 mph, 1,000ft-4.709.

Pomponio is right there with him to get in the show. Dan Pomponio's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.517, 660ft-3.724/205.22 mph, 1,000ft-4.751.

Left Lane: Andy Bohl Runs 5.552/247.97, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.566/263.82, Was #8
Right Lane: Shane Westerfield Runs 5.553/265.59, Now #9; Best prior run: 9.662/128.73, Was #17

These two are glued together all the way down the track.

Bohl with his quickest pass this season to get into the top half of the show. Andy Bohl's incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.495, 660ft-3.683/209.92 mph, 1,000ft-4.684.

Westerfield was right there with him to get in the show. Shane Westerfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.964 sec., 330ft-2.519, 660ft-3.704/209.49 mph, 1,000ft-4.707.

That bumps out Cox Aryan Rochon is on the bump spot at 6.055.

Left Lane: Tony Bogolo Runs 5.686/261.42, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.545/264.49, Was #7

Bogolo with another good pass, but he will not improve.

Left Lane: Annie Whiteley Runs 5.484/268.92, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.480/268.92, Was #2
Right Lane: Brian Gawlik Runs 5.579/261.42, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.580/261.42, Was #10

Whiteley with another great pass, she is just a few ticks off her qualifying session from earlier today. Annie Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.956 sec., 330ft-2.482, 660ft-3.654/211.69 mph, 1,000ft-4.646.

Gawlik is a tick quicker than his career best pass from earlier today. He will stay in the number 10 spot. Brian Gawlik's incremental times: 60ft-0.966 sec., 330ft-2.502, 660ft-3.698/207.53 mph, 1,000ft-4.718.
