BAYTOWN, Texas - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 34th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Ron Capps Runs 3.941/315.42, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.844/89.36, Was #14

Weather conditions: air temperature 77 degrees, relative humidity 100 percent, barometer 30.16 inches, adjusted altitude 1,924 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

Capps launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Ron Capps' incremental times: 60ft-0.868 sec., 330ft-2.245, 660ft-3.174/274.94 mph.

Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 3.943/323.12, Now #4; No Prior Run

Tasca III with a great looking pass had something blow off the car, but still goes to the number one spot. Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.874 sec., 330ft-2.249, 660ft-3.168/282.01 mph.

Pedregon with a good looking pass to go to the number four spot. Cruz Pedregon's incremental times: 60ft-0.868 sec., 330ft-2.254, 660ft-3.189/276.07 mph.

Right Lane: Blake Alexander Runs 4.009/314.46, Now #9; Best prior run: 8.300/79.63, Was #16

Wilkerson kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove to move into the top half of the show. Tim Wilkerson's incremental times: 60ft-0.885 sec., 330ft-2.284, 660ft-3.216/276.86 mph.

Alexander was right there with him to move off the bump spot. Blake Alexander's incremental times: 60ft-0.884 sec., 330ft-2.283, 660ft-3.235/269.56 mph.

Bode with his quickest pass of the day, but gets bumped back one spot by Todd who moves to the number eight spot.

Bobby Bode's incremental times: 60ft-0.884 sec., 330ft-2.311, 660ft-3.260/273.00 mph.
J.R. Todd's incremental times: 60ft-0.885 sec., 330ft-2.294, 660ft-3.238/275.45 mph.

the next pair fired and then the rain came. He was raining hard and the decision to pull the plug was made.
