Capps is 34 - 29 against Hagan in prior events and each has won 4 times against the other in final rounds.

The last time they met in a final round was at Topeka in 2017.

The No. 1 and No.2 qualifiers in Funny Car have met in the final round 107 times with the NO. 1 driver winning 57 of those meetings.

Capps with the starting line advantage and the lead until around half track when the engine let go with fireball. Hagan drove around him for the win.

Hagan wins his third Wally this season and the 36th of his career.
