LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel Harley at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Randal Andras Runs 6.635/170.51, Now #5; Best prior run: 9.652/94.01, Was #7
Right Lane: Tony Ruggiero No Time, Now #8; No Prior Run

Andras clicked it off early, but still moves up the ladder two spots.

Ruggiero broke right off the starting line. The word from the starting line is there is oil on the track. Tony Ruggiero was charged with an oildown, #2 for the season. That will cost 10 points.

Left Lane: Greg Justice Runs 10.316/82.95, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.966/131.15, Was #7
Right Lane: Mike Scott Runs 6.479/213.50, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.470/223.36, Was #3

Justice lost traction right at the hit.

Scott with another good pass, but will not improve.

Right Lane: Jay Turner Runs 8.748/100.64, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.291/231.48, Was #2

Peery is straight down the groove to the number two spot. Ryan Peery's incremental times: 60ft-1.116 sec., 330ft-2.856, 660ft-4.209/182.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.398.

Turner lost traction right st the hit.

Right Lane: Tii Tharpe Runs 6.609/215.37, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.264/230.33, Was #1

House with a good clean pass, but will stay in the number five spot. Rickey House's incremental times: 60ft-1.139 sec., 330ft-2.861, 660ft-4.240/178.40 mph, 1,000ft-5.446.

Tharpe slowed, but will hold on to his number one qualifying position. Tharpe will start from the number one spot for the second time this year and the fourth time in his career.
