LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Rob Passey No Time, Now #15; No Prior Run

Passey comes up to make his first pass of the weekend and the car is leaking fuel and is shut off before he can get the car staged, so he will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 9.476/77.92, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.659/115.47, Was #9
Right Lane: Troy Buff Runs 4.123/218.97, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.486/91.62, Was #13

Ashley is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.

Buff started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.775/319.90, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.170/132.24, Was #9
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.746/327.74, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.394/96.13, Was #13

This is a great side-by-side drag race.

Langdon kept it hitting on all to go to the number three spot. Shawn Langdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.151, 660ft-3.028/289.32 mph.

Kalitta kept the big Goodyears hooked up all the way down the track to go to the number one spot. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.135, 660ft-3.011/289.45 mph.

Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 5.249/112.46, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.051/109.02, Was #12

Torrence launched hard and kept the header flames shooting high over the rear wing all the way down the track. Steve Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.833 sec., 330ft-2.130, 660ft-3.002/290.94 mph.

Brown with a great looking pass to go to the number three spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.842 sec., 330ft-2.138, 660ft-3.021/288.39 mph.

Torrence kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go back to the number one spot. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.837 sec., 330ft-2.122, 660ft-2.995/291.19 mph.

Pruett started to lose traction early and clicked it off.
