LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Troy Buff Runs 6.486/91.62, Now #2
Right Lane: Chris Karamesines Runs 4.166/224.66, Now #1

Troy Buff and Bill Miller are making their first appearance on the NHRA circuit since Las Vegas 2 last year.

He is up in smoke early and clicked it off.

Karamesines was on a good pass until the car started to drift out of the groove over by the centerline when he clicked it off

Left Lane: Jim Maroney Runs 3.971/307.37, Now #1
Right Lane: Kebin Kinsley Runs 6.276/109.60, Now #3

Maroney with a good looking pass, it appeared to push out a head gasket right in the lights. Jim Maroney's incremental times: 60ft-0.881 sec., 330ft-2.259, 660ft-3.190/272.89 mph.

Kinsley driving the Worsham team Top Fueler...the car is up in smoke right at the hit and pitched the blower belt off.

Left Lane: Cameron Ferre Runs 6.595/101.23, Now #6
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 5.002/141.88, Now #3

Ferre started to mix up cylinders early and clicked it off.

Millican started to mix up cylinders before half track and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 6.051/109.02, Now #5
Right Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 5.659/115.47, Now #4

Schumacher is up in smoke early and clicked it off.

Ashley is up in smoke by half track and he clicked it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.965/248.07, Now #1
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 5.170/132.24, Now #5

Brown launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.855 sec., 330ft-2.171, 660ft-3.084/276.58 mph.

Langdon started to haze the tires and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.791/322.04, Now #2
Right Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 3.774/325.14, Now #1

This is grat side-by-side drag race.

Pruett with a great looking pass, she had a little wiggle on the top end. She goes to the number two spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.143, 660ft-3.042/282.54 mph.

Torrence kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the top of the list. Billy Torrence's incremental times: 60ft-0.846 sec., 330ft-2.155, 660ft-3.038/288.89 mph.

Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 4.465/173.56, Now #6

Kalitta is up in smoke by 200 feet and clicked it off.

Torrence started to haze the tires around half track and clicked it off.
