LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 20th annual Dodge NHRA Finals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Justin Bond Runs 5.772/247.34, Now #1
Right Lane: Jeff Jones Runs 5.882/242.41, Now #2
Bond is straight down the groove with a nice pass. Justin Bond's incremental times: 60ft-0.950 sec., 330ft-2.540, 660ft-3.786/196.19 mph, 1,000ft-4.863.
jones with a good clean pass to start the weekend. Jeff Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.569, 660ft-3.852/191.62 mph, 1,000ft-4.953.
Left Lane: Justin Jones Runs 5.863/245.63, Now #2
Right Lane: Brandon Pesz Runs 8.653/105.41, Now #4
Jones is straight down the groove with a good pass. Justin Jones' incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.583, 660ft-3.866/193.77 mph, 1,000ft-4.949.
Pesz was spraying fuel out all the way down the track and clicked it off early.
Left Lane: Jim Whiteley Runs 5.864/242.41, Now #3
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 8.272/111.78, Now #5
Whiteley with a good pass to start the weekend. Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.963 sec., 330ft-2.561, 660ft-3.843/192.74 mph, 1,000ft-4.938.
Satterfield shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 5.755/248.34, Now #1
This was good side-by-side drag race.
Green straight down the groove to the number three spot. Chad Green's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.603, 660ft-3.864/196.24 mph, 1,000ft-4.934.
alBalooshi kept it hooked up all the way down the 1320 to go to the number one spot. Khalid alBalooshi's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.531, 660ft-3.774/196.96 mph, 1,000ft-4.848.
Left Lane: Mike Janis Runs 5.882/244.25, Now #7
Right Lane: Steve Jackson Runs 5.788/249.07, Now #3
Janis was starting to drift out of the groove, but reeled it back in around half track. Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.624, 660ft-3.884/195.25 mph, 1,000ft-4.965.
