BAYTOWN, Texas - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 33rd annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Doug Gordon Runs 5.452/268.76, Now #1; Best prior run: 11.290/73.64, Was #9
Right Lane: Jay Payne Runs 5.497/267.80, Now #3; No Prior Run

This is a great side-by-side drag race to start the day.

Gordon was straight down down the groove with a great pass for the number one spot. Doug Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.943 sec., 330ft-2.459, 660ft-3.624/213.98 mph, 1,000ft-4.615.

Payne with he fastest pass of the season to go to the number three spot. Jay Payne's incremental times: 60ft-0.954 sec., 330ft-2.488, 660ft-3.659/212.53 mph, 1,000ft-4.657.

Bellemeur launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. He runs his quickest pass of the season. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.944 sec., 330ft-2.451, 660ft-3.607/215.51 mph, 1,000ft-4.591.
