ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, 35th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Mark Billington Runs 5.570/258.91, Now #1
Right Lane: Bryan Brown Runs 10.359/102.73, Now #2
Billington is straight down the groove with a nice pass.
Brown is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off.
Left Lane: Tony Bogolo Runs 5.576/264.65, Now #3
Right Lane: Kyle Smith Runs 5.502/257.28, Now #1
Bogolo with his season quickest pass and his career fastest pass to go to the number three spot. Tony Bogolo's incremental times: 60ft-0.947 sec., 330ft-2.512, 660ft-3.716/207.24 mph, 1,000ft-4.729.
Smith launched hard and kept it hooked up for his career quickest and fastest pass to go to the number one spot. Kyle Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.941 sec., 330ft-2.466, 660ft-3.640/211.99 mph, 1,000ft-4.645.

Right Lane: Chris Marshall Runs 7.696/131.20, Now #5

Marshall started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Rochon with a nice clean pass to start the weekend.
