MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, ninth annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, amount over/under index, and position in order following run, class and class index:
Left Lane: Clint Neff Runs 7.403/175.21/-0.737, Now #1 K/AA Index: 8.14
Right Lane: Chad Voges Runs 7.542/170.92/-0.628, Now #2 K/AA Index: 8.17
Weather conditions: air temperature 60 degrees, relative humidity 49 percent, barometer 30.24 inches, track temperature 85 degrees.
Neff is straight down the groove with a great pass.
Voges with a good looking pass.
