Weather conditions: air temperature 88 degrees, relative humidity 52 percent, barometer 28.96 inches, adjusted altitude 3,929 feet, track temperature 130 degrees.

Beckman launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number tree spot. Jack Beckman's incremental times: 60ft-0.888 sec., 330ft-2.285, 660ft-3.242/264.96 mph.
DeJoria was right there with him to go to the number five spot with a good looking pass. Alexis DeJoria's incremental times: 60ft-0.908 sec., 330ft-2.332, 660ft-3.302/267.69 mph.

The clouds have move over Lucas Oil Raceway and it looks threaten toward the top end.
Capps did the burnout and after the burnout the car went silent. He will start from the number 16 spot. He will start Funny Car from the number 16th spot for only the eighth time and the last time was 2009 Chicago event.
Miladinovich lost traction right at the hit and clicked it off. He will start Sunday from the number 13 spot.

Alexander started to smoke the tires around 330 feet and clicked it off.

Lee started to drift out of the groove and collected the top end cones. That is his first centerline violation of the year and will cost him five points.

Right Lane: Tommy Johnson Jr. Runs 4.128/238.43, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.983/317.72, Was #1
Lindberg launched hard and kept it hooked up to make another great looking pass. He makes the quickest pass of the session.
Johnson was on a good looking pass until just after half track when he started to lose traction. He holds on to the number one spot for the first time this year and the 19th time in his career.
