around the lane down track, but still moves five spots up the ladder to the #2 position on a strong
pass.
Martin had a strong leave and lifts early.
Ulf Leanders' incremental times:

Wernhart has problems before staging and is pushed away!

coasting before half track.

Right Lane: Terry Ruckman Runs 5.543/232.75, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.089/171.21, Was
#7
This would have been a great race.
They left close together and ran close
together all the way to right after the 1000 foot lights, where Ruckman had a big blower "bang". He
was 0.020 quicker at 1000 feet!
Both drivers improve a spot. Ruckman still goes from seven
to six.
Brian Hough's incremental times: 60ft-0.946 sec., 330ft-2.469, 660ft-3.648/210.67
mph, 1,000ft-4.650.

Another pair of great passes to wrap up qualifying for today!
Stellar 0.009
light for Westerfield and a quicker and faster pass to move up a spot to #2. He was just 0.004
behind Gordon in the lights! Faster too!
Gordon was already #1 coming into the session and
holds off a charging Westerfield by running his best ET of the day to keep the spot.
