CONCORD, N.C. - Current Top Fuel world champion and defending event winner Steve Torrence will start raceday from the top position for the fourth time this year after an impressive show in qualifying during the 12th annual NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway.

Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Steve Johnson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are also No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the third of six races in the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier Steve Torrence drove his Capco Contractors dragster to a 3.711 second pass at 325.53 mph.

Reigning Top Fuel world champion and NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals winner Steve Torrence will start race day from the top spot, due to his fourth No. 1 qualifier of the season.

Funny Car No. 1 qualifier Jack Beckman drove his Infinite Hero Foundation Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat to a 3.873 second pass at 334.07 mph.

Jack Beckman secured his second No. 1 qualifier of the 2019 season in his Dodge Funny Car on Saturday at zMAX Dragway.

Pro Stock No. 1 qualifier Erica Enders drove her Melling Performance / Elite Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro to a 6.506 second pass at 211.86 mph.

Two-time Pro Stock world champion Erica Enders secured her third consecutive No. 1 qualifier of the Countdown to the Championship playoffs on Saturday at the NTK NHRA Carolina Nationals.

Pro Stock Motorcycle No. 1 qualifier Steve Johnson rode his Steve Johnson Racing Suzuki to a 6.786 second pass at 196.70 mph.

Steve Johnson picked up his first No. 1 qualifier since 2013 on his Suzuki to close out qualifying at zMAX Dragway.
