Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 37 percent, barometer 29.52 inches, adjusted altitude 2,790 feet, track temperature 122 degrees.

Force did the burnout the crew found a fuel leak coming out of the left head and the crew shut the car off.

Crampton was up in smoke early on the single, and clicked it off. He is advancing to his 12th career final and his second this year.

Kalitta is 1 - 0 against Prock in prior events.

Prock with the slight starting line advantage, but then rattles the tires and starts to smoke the tires. He pedals it, but can't chase Kalitta down. Kalitta with a good clean pass for the win and lane choice against his teammate in the final. He is advancing to his 99th career final round and the third this season.
