Kalitta is 3 - 1 against Torrence in prior events and this is the first time they have faced each other in a final round.

Kalitta with a slight starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Doug Kalitta's MOV: 0.0805 seconds (approximately 24 feet).

Torrence started to haze the tires, then Kalitta started to haze the tires. They both are hazing the tires across the finish line and Kalitta gets the win.

Kalitta gets his first U.S. Nationals Wally in his fourth final at Indy. He wins his second race this season and the 46th career victory.
