barometer 28.81 inches, adjusted altitude 2,016 feet, track temperature 99 degrees.Johnson Jr. and Todd have each won 4 times against the other in prior events. It's is reported that one of the rear axles on Johnson's car broke in the last session and that caused the carnage.
Just 0.007 difference in RT's, but Johnson's engine drops a cylinder immediately and he only gets a little further before there is another Big Boomer and another shredded body. He quickly brings the car to a stop,
Todd just keeps on truclin' with hs best speed of the weekend and takes an easy win.

1:48 p.m. Back to racing. Hight is 25 - 22 against Force in prior events. Teammates come to the line and it is just another great drag race.
Force gets a narrow 0.002 starting line advantage, but Hight just powers on by and pulls slowly, but steadily ahead for the 51 foot win.
Strong clean pass for Force, his fastest of the weekend, but no match for Hight.
Hight will have lane choice over Todd next round.

These two are just 0.003 apart at the green and 0.006 at the 330 lights.
Tasca gets the initial lead and Beckman just gets out in front at 60 feet. It's all Mustang after that, as he opens his lead to the finish line.
