Todd has a five and two win/runner up record for the year and a career sixteen and twelve record. Nine of his wins have come in Funny Car.
Johnson has two runner ups this year and a career seventeen and thirty win/runner up record. Two wins and thee runner ups in Top Fuel.
Just 0.006 difference in RT's and they runs together right on down the track with almost no difference in their incrementals going down the track. Todd holds Johnson off for a narrow eleven foot win.
Adding a final coda to Johnson's year, the Make-A-Wish Charger has only one parachute deploy and he fight it hard all the way to the sand trap and it just noses in. No obvious damage, but what a way to end the season!
