GLENDORA, Calif. -- The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and FOX Deportes, the leading Spanish-language sports network, announced today that NHRA Championship Drag Racing programming will be featured on the network in November. This marks the first time in NHRA history that the sport will be broadcast in Spanish. The schedule includes a broadcast of the NHRA Auto Club Finals live from Pomona, Calif.
The broadcast lineup includes all of the events in NHRA’s Countdown To The Championship, a playoff format which determines the winners of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Each of the first five shows will feature event highlights in a 30 minute format. The last show will be a three-hour live simulcast of the NHRA Auto Club Finals.
“NHRA is thrilled to team up with FOX Deportes to mark a historic first, bringing the world’s fastest, most explosive sport to our fans in Spanish,” said Ken Adelson, NHRA chief content officer. “FOX Deportes viewers will experience the heart-pounding competitive action of NHRA’s playoffs, the Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship, and get to see the 2018 world champions crowned at the NHRA Auto Club Finals from Pomona, California.”
All broadcasts will also be streamed on the FOX Sports Go App. Fans can also visit www.foxdeportes.com and follow FOX Deportes on twitter, Instagram and Facebook for results and highlights.
