POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 52nd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 28 percent, barometer 28.98 inches, adjusted altitude 2,948 feet, track temperature 100 degrees.

Delco goes red and then has severe tire shake and clicked it off. McGaha launched into severe tire shake and pedaled it and got it to settle down for the win.

Allen Johnson is the defending event champion. He also won this race in 2012. His one round in Las Vegas gave him 796 for his career and that moved him past Joe Amato and in to 18th place on the all-time list. Johnson with the starting line advantage, but Skillman had the lead by the time they went by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win. Line with the quickest pass of the round and will have lane choice over McGaha in the next round..
