POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 52nd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.941/196.56, Now #16; Best prior run: 9.460/99.44, Was #16

Grose makes a full pass, but will not get in the show and will start over tomorrow.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 17.621/49.28, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.677/206.86, Was #14
Right Lane: Aaron Strong Runs 6.642/208.20, Now #11; Best prior run: 13.641/64.67, Was #17

Kramer with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off. Strong was straight down the groove to get into the show. Aaron Strong's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.779, 660ft-4.272/164.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.559.

Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.645/208.94, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.701/209.01, Was #16

No help here for Hartford and he will start over tomorrow. Enders is straight down the groove to get in the show on the bump spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.788, 660ft-4.279/164.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.564.

Coughlin with a good looking pass to move up the ladder one spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.256/164.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.541. Delco made a quick move toward the centerline and clicked it off.

McGaha with another good pass, just a tick off his qualifying time and will stay in the number eight spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.997 sec., 330ft-2.779, 660ft-4.266/165.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.546. Prusiensky was loose and using up a lot of his lane and will not improve.

Gray with the quickest pass of the session and he moves up the ladder one spot. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.765, 660ft-4.247/166.39 mph, 1,000ft-5.521. Johnson with the quickest short time of the session and he improves one spot on the ladder. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.246/165.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.524.

This was a great side-by-side drag race as these two make the two quickest pass of the round. Laughlin will stay in the number four spot. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.241/166.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.515. Butner will stay in the number two spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.233/165.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.509.

Line with the quickest short time and parlays that into the quickest pass of the session to go to the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.972 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.224/166.79 mph, 1,000ft-5.495. Anderson with problems and pushed in the clutch, he will remain second.
