POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 52nd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Joey Grose Runs 9.460/99.44, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 21 percent, barometer 28.94 inches, adjusted altitude 3,141 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Grose with problems early and clicked it off by 330 feet.

Left Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 6.655/208.07, Now #1
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.666/208.55, Now #2

Prusiensky made a quick move toward the wall and then reeled it in to the groove to make a good pass...his fastest of his career. Alan Prusiensky's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.284/164.87 mph, 1,000ft-5.571.
Hartford was right there with him. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.798, 660ft-4.296/164.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.583.

Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.677/206.86, Now #3

Strong with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off. Kramer with a clean pass to start the weekend. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.301/164.03 mph, 1,000ft-5.592.

Right Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.588/210.83, Now #1

Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.639/206.76, Now #2

Enders made a quick move toward the centerline, but she reeled it in to the groove. Coughlin was straight down the groove to go to the number two spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.271/165.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.556.

Butner made a slight move toward the centerline, but reeled it in and goes to the number one spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.755, 660ft-4.234/166.48 mph, 1,000ft-5.508. Skillman was straight down the groove to go to the number three spot. Drew Skillman's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.778, 660ft-4.260/166.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.534.

Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.597/210.47, Now #3
