LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 16th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Kristen Ashby Runs 26.685/280.19, Now #26; Best prior run: 7.417/178.97, Was #26

3:48 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 40 percent, barometer 27.82 inches, adjusted altitude 4,614 feet, track temperature 110 degrees.

Ashby has a decent short time but sounds like she had problems on the second gear shift and the engine went silent.

Once again Savoie goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the round to sweep the bonus points. Hines improves slightly but not enough to move up in the order.
