Larry Sullivan Passes

Larry Sullivan
Larry Sullivan, one of the founding partners of the Fast News Network, parent company of DragRaceCentral.com, passed away today at the age of 79. After retiring from the Air Force Larry began working with several defense contractors in a variety of positions. At the same time, in the early 90's, he and the late Ed Dykes reported on drag racing on CompuServe. After Ed passed away, Rick Green partnered with Larry to form FastNews Network. "Larry was so instrumental in everything we did," Green said. "He was the programming genius behind a lot of the innovations that we brought to on-line race reporting."

Until recently Larry traveled across the country to cover races from NHRA, IHRA, PDRA and the Lucas Oil sportsman events. "He had some health problems recently that kept him from going to the races," Green said. "In fact, this was one of the first times in years that he didn't make the U.S. Nationals, his favorite race. He will be missed by all of us."

Sullivan was survived by a son, Sean and was predeceased by a daughter. Funeral arrangements are pending.
