MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 32nd annual Dodge NHRA Nationals:

This is Tommy Johnson, Jr.'s third consecutive final round and fifth of the season. Ron Capps has been in eight final rounds this year before this.

Johnson got out of the gate 0.015 seconds before Capps and held on to take the win. The two cars were almost side-by-side the whole way down the track with Johnson ending up about a car length ahead. After they crossed the finish line, something blew on Capps' car and he left oil on the track. It's his first oil down of the year so it will cost him $1,000, but there are no points penalties during the chase.

This was Johnson's 14th career Funny Car win and his second win this season.
