TOPEKA, Kan. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 28th annual NHRA Kansas Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Mark Hogan Runs 7.137/177.74, Now #1
Right Lane: Dave River Runs 19.806/66.09, Now #2

These two are making their first appearances this season, so this it the first time they have made passes in com,petition under the new rules package. Hogan makes a full pass...River shook and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Aaron Strong Runs 6.668/206.73, Now #2
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.675/206.54, Now #5

Strong with a real nice pass...Kramer with a good clean pass to start the weekend.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.679/206.76, Now #2
Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.672/207.72, Now #1

Gaines launched hard and keep it hooked up, a nice pass for Gaines. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.794, 660ft-4.294/163.87 mph, 1,000ft-5.587. Gray was straight down the groove with a real nice pass. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.805, 660ft-4.303/164.51 mph, 1,000ft-5.589.

Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.675/206.70, Now #3

Laughlin launched hard and keep it hooked up to go straight down the groove. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.258/164.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.547. Enders with a real nice pass to start the weekend. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.287/164.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.583.

Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.705/206.07, Now #8

Nobile was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-1.006 sec., 330ft-2.796, 660ft-4.293/164.69 mph, 1,000ft-5.582. Coughlin made a quick move toward the centerline and did a great job reeling it in. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.309/163.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.610.

Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.638/208.30, Now #2

This was a great side-by-side drag race...McGaha was straight down the groove into the number two spot and Johnson was right there with him for the number three spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.777, 660ft-4.270/165.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.559.

Right Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.591/209.39, Now #1

Skillman with a good clean pass to get into the top half of the show. Drew Skillman's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.783, 660ft-4.278/165.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.568. Butner launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.236/166.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.515.

Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.590/209.56, Now #1

Anderson with violent tire shake right at the hit and pushed in the clutch. Line launched hard and is straight down the groove into the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.750, 660ft-4.234/165.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.514.
