COMMERCE, Ga. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 36th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 35 percent, barometer 29.32 inches, adjusted altitude 1,820 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

This is the first time Fiscus and Lang have faced each other in eliminations. Fiscus with a slight starting line advantage and then had a lot of tire shake and pedaled it while Lang had tire shake and pedaled it and never got it to hook up as it got real close to the centerline and clicked it off. Fiscus was able to get it to hook up after he pedaled it and gets the win.

alBalooshi is 1 - 0 against Farber in prior events. alBalooshi with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He will have lane choice over Fiscus in the semifinal.

This is the first time Matusek and Biehle have faced each other in eliminations. Biehle with the starting line advantage and then shook hard and was out of the groove got close to the centerline before he reeled it in. Matusek has the lead by 400 feet and then he gets loose on the top end, but holds on for the in.

Smith is 1 - 0 against Winters in prior events. Winters with a great light and the lead until around 800 feet when Smith is able to chase him down and take the win. Smith with the quickest pass of round two and he will have lane choice over Matusek in the semifinal. Rickie Smith's MOV: 0.0427 seconds (approximately 15 feet).
