Courtney Force raced to her first Funny Car victory of the season Sunday at the NHRA SpringNationals at Royal Purple Raceway. It is the fifth consecutive NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event that has featured a female winner.

Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) also were winners at the sixth of 24 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events on the season.

Funny Car winner Courtney Force drove her Traxxas Chevy Camaro to a 3.913 second pass at 327.90 mph to defeat Tim Wilkerson driving his Levi, Ray & Shoup Ford Mustang to a 3.943 second pass at 323.81 mph.

This is Courtney Force's first victory since 2014 in St. Louis. This is Force's eighth career win, first at Royal Purple Raceway. It is the fifth consecutive NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event that has featured a female winner.

Top Fuel winner Doug Kalitta drove his Mac Tools dragster to a 3.813 second pass at 280.60 mph to defeat Steve Torrence driving his Contractors/Torrence Racing dragster to a 3.810 second pass at 306.81 mph.

This is Doug Kalitta's first victory of 2016 and 39th of his career. This is the third victory for Kalitta at Royal Purple Raceway. He has won this event last year and in 2003.

Pro Stock winner Greg Anderson drove his Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro, 6.630 second pass at 209.43 mph to defeat teammate Jason Line driving his Summit Racing Equipment Camaro to a 6.597 second p[ass at 209.95 mph.

This is Greg Anderson's third victory of the season and third victory at the NHRA SpringNationals. Anderson and teammate Jason Line have combined to win the first six races of the season, three apiece.
