Good lights in both lanes, but Bayer was closer to the index for the win.

Williams staged, launched and something let go in the driveline, the car stopping at the tree. The driveshaft is laying on the launch pad and the starting line crew is picking up needle bearings on the track!

Williams will have until tomorrow afternoon to fix it and race Bayer in the semifinals.
