Noakes had the bye in the second round because there were only 14 Top Alcohol Funny Cars here this weekend. He launched and got close to the wall, so Noakes backed off the throttle.

Gill was off the starting line first but could not hold the lead. Pomponio will have lane choice over Noakes in the next round.

Headley's car started slow and never really got up to speed. Harker drove down the groove to take the win.
