YORBA LINDA, Calif. –- Del Worsham is the latest addition to the celebrity lineup for Sunday's (Dec. 8) John Force Holiday Car Show benefitting the California Highway Patrol's "CHIP's for Kids" Christmas program. Worsham, a four-time NHRA tour winner last season, will join Force, Tony Pedregon, Gary Densham and others for a high profile autograph session in conjunction with a custom car show and the grand opening of the new John Force RaceStation store. More than 400 street rods, muscle cars, antique and classic cars, motorcycles, custom trucks, race cars and specialty vehicles will be on display at John Force Racing, Inc., home of the Ford Mustangs that finished 1-2-4 in 2002 NHRA POWERade points. Entertainment during show hours (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) will be provided by the "Mad Man Billy" band and the In N' Out Burger mobile unit will be on hand to dispense California's best hamburgers and fries. The donation of a new, unwrapped $10 toy to the "CHiP's for Kids" program covers admission to the show and autograph session. Other celebrity guests include Cruz Pedregon, Ron Capps, off-road racing champion Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, Bruce Sarver, Cory McClenathan, Scott Geoffrion, Tom McEwen, the five John Force Racing Crew Chiefs and Linda Vaughn, the "First Lady of Drag Racing." Force, winner of 10 consecutive NHRA Funny Car Championships and 12 of the last 13, will be available for photographs, autographs and interviews as will the other racing celebrities. Guides will provide tours of the John Force Racing shops as well as the new multi-level RaceStation store which already is stocked for Christmas shopping with the latest diecasts, apparel, art and videos. John Force Racing, Inc., is located in Yorba Linda on the north side of the 91 Freeway. After exiting at Weir Canyon/Yorba Linda Boulevard, proceed north to the Savi Ranch Road exit. Turn right on Mirage and follow the signs to John Force Racing, 22722 Old Canal Road. In addition to the vehicles participating in the car show, a number of the team's championship race cars also will be on display including the Castrol GTX Mustang in which Force set the NHRA record for quarter mile time at 4.731 seconds, the Castrol SYNTEC Ford in which Tony Pedregon won six times last season and the Automobile Club of Southern California Ford in which Densham set the NHRA Funny Car speed record of 326.87 miles per hour. Other cars on display include the "Elvis" and "KISS" cars driven this season by Force and Pedregon, respectively; Pedregon's "Muppets" car and Force's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Ford Mustang. In Force, Tony Pedregon, Densham, Capps and Worsham, the show features the drivers who won 21 of the 23 events in the 2002 NHRA POWERade series. In Force and Cruz Pedregon, it boasts the drivers who have won the last 13 series championships, and in Force and Cory McClenathan, it has the drivers who won the Funny Car and Top Fuel titles, respectively, at the season ending Auto Club Finals at Pomona Raceway.
